ABOUT US:
We are team 4717 the Mechromancers, and we bring robots to life! We are a varsity level high school robotics team from Hagerty High School in Oviedo, Florida. We are one of two FIRST teams under the Hagerty High School Robotics Program, alongside our sister team, FTC 4227 Metal Morphosis.
Team Members: We are comprised of twelve members - three girls and nine boys, ranging from sophomores to seniors. Our team members have one or more years of experience on our junior sister team, FTC 4227 Metal Morphosis. Everyone on our team is high-achieving and hard-working in and out of FIRST.
Team Mentors: The Hagerty Robotics Program is run by six awesome, highly talented and dedicated individuals who all share a common love for robotics. This 2024-2025 season, the Mechromancers’ lead mentor is Mr. Yun. We are especially fortunate to have Mr. Harper onboard with us. He is an amazingly skilled professional and is happy to help with literally anything from odometry to airplane shooters. He provides a critical resource in the University of Central Florida’s TI Innovation Lab and machine shop, where we have previously spent long days troubleshooting and designing our robots.
