HHS Robotics Student Leadership
Jacob Steinebronn is a junior at Hagerty high school. He joined robotics club as a freshman because he has a passion for technology and he wanted to know more about the design process and building process of robots. He has learned so far that there are a lot of different applications and software that can be used to program robots, both hardware and software to solve a problem. His favorite software that he has used is Java because of its simplicity. His hobbies are playing games, and coding.
Katie Guise is a junior at Hagerty High School. This is her third year on the Hagerty Robotics Team. She joined the robotics team because she has an interest in learning about robots and thought it would be fun to try it out. She wants to pursue a career in engineering or medicine and thinks that it would be good experience to do robotics to develop skills needed for the future. She loves to read and participate in competitive debate. Creating art is her escape from the world.
Asheya Naik is a junior at Hagerty High, and recently arrived in Florida in the summer of 2017 from Toronto, Canada. He loves swimming, biking and photography. His favorite sport is the sport of the mind; robotics! Living in Canada for over 7 years, he used to be a part of the first robotics team in all of Canada within his high school, Team 188 BLIZZARD of Woburn Collegiate Institute. Joining Team 188 as a freshman in his high school, he discovered the astounding world of STEM, and finally found a career he could pursue; engineering. He participated in the VEX and FRC competitions, and even operated their VEX 2016-17 robot. In FRC, Team 188 went all the way to World Championships, where Asheya could work in the Pit Crew. It was an amazing experience, and after learning about his bittersweet departure to Florida, he thought that he would perhaps never see that world again. So when he learned that Hagerty High School in Oviedo, Florida had a similar robotics club that participated in FTC and VEX, he was excited to delve into that world yet again, with new eyes and a new competition; FTC. He hopes to build his leadership skills, and time management, as well as improve his knowledge on the design/building of the mechanical aspects of robotics.

Neel Maity is a junior here at Hagerty High. This his third year on the Hagerty Robotics team. He joined the robotics team because he thoroughly enjoys science, technology, math, and engineering or STEM. He also is highly considering engineering as his future career so and he is sure that this club will teach him more skills and information that engineers need to know. He also find robotics very interesting and would love to learn more, and what way could be better than helping to build one. His favorite food is sushi and his favorite hobby is 3D modeling, He’s looking forward to learning more and helping out his team as much as he can.

Sam Jones is a junior in high school. This is his third year on Hagerty Robotics. He joined the team because he enjoys problem solving and design, as well as building things. He is also interested in a career in engineering and is looking for a foundation of knowledge in this club. He hopes to learn about engineering and design, as well as public speaking. His favorite food is enchiladas and his favorite hobby is playing guitar. He is looking forward to another successful year of robotics.
Sharika Khondaker is a freshman at Hagerty High School. This is her first year on the Hagerty Robotics Team. She joined the robotics team because she has an interest in learning about robots and thought it would be fun to try it out. She wants to pursue a career in engineering and thinks that it would be good experience to do robotics to develop skills needed for the future. She doesn’t have a favorite food; she loves all kinds of food. She loves to read and participate in competition math.
Jolie Miller is a sophomore at Hagerty High School. This is her fifth year in FTC and her second on Hagerty Robotics. She joined Hagerty Robotics because she enjoys the FIRST atmosphere and has met some of her best friends through robotics. She loves animals and her hobbies include reading, writing, creating, volunteering, baking, cuddling her guinea pigs, and of course, FTC. Jolie hopes to someday become a graphic designer. She has learned a lot about robotics over the years and can’t wait to see what this season will teach her!
