HHS Robotics Leadership
Matthew Mason is a senior at Hagerty High school, and this is his fourth year in robotics. He is in the club because he enjoys designing and building the bots for FTC competitions, and expanding his knowledge of technology through community service and outreach. He has gained many different engineering skills from being in the club, in addition to leadership and presentation skills. Outside of robotics, he loves music and plays the piano. He was also in marching band for two years on drumline.
Zach Irving joined robotics in his freshman year in order to expand his knowledge of engineering and software. Since then he has learned many valuable skills in engineering, and has become efficient at robotic construction. He has also learned the basics of software, and has gained many friends, and team skills. His favorite part of the FTC competition is the ability to see all of the creative solutions the teams come up with to respond to the challenges. Outside FTC his hobbies and activities include reading, teaching himself subjects not taught in school, and being a part of the Academic Team.
Nicholas Injo joined robotics because he was interested in the capabilities of robots and interested in engineering. This is his third year in the robotics club at Hagerty. Outside of robotics, he enjoy practicing and playing tennis, as he is on the school varsity team. Something interesting about him is that he is half Hispanic and Asian, and gets to experiences the best of both cultures. Nicholas would like to major in a field of engineering because he feels that it fits his personality, and interests, although he does not know what field of engineering to pursue.
Aidan Ryan is a senior in high school, and is in his third year of robotics. He is part of the Hagerty robotics team because he enjoys making videos and programming. He also enjoys learning about robotic systems. Aidan has gained skills in computer science and mechanical engineering through involvement with FIRST. Outside of robotics, Aidan plays guitar, writes and directs his own short films, and writes his own programs. Aidan is on the debate team at his high school, and is the founding president of the Hagerty High School Film Club.
Pranav Sharma is a senior at Hagerty High School. He joined the robotics team to gain useful experience in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. He has participated in the First Lego League (FLL) for two years, and in the First Tech Challenge (FTC) for three years. He is proficient in programming, building, and designing the robot. Outside of robotics, Pranav plays tennis and is a member of the math club and the programming club at Hagerty. He plans to go to college and major in a technology-related field of study.
4227 Team Leader
Nancy Chen is a sophomore at Hagerty High School. The reason Nancy joined Robotics is because she heard of all the cool conventions the Hagerty High School Robotics club goes to during the year. Also she was interested in building a robot to fit the game's challenge. Nancy learned from Robotics how to do simple programming and CAD. Nancy likes watching anime, sleeping, and blankets.
4717 Team Leader
Tori Guise is an senior at Hagerty High School. She joined robotics because of her interest in programming and robot design. Since joining, she has learned how to program in C++ and Java, how to model parts in CREO, and how to help fund the club through outreach activities. She has also learned the importance of communication between team members and working together to achieve an end goal. Some of her hobbies include reading, drawing, and telling bad jokes.
VEX Team Leader
Anjali Poorandatt-Manarang is a Hagerty High School senior. Anjali has officially joined Hagerty Robotics in her senior year, but she has assisted the robotics teams since freshman year. Anjali is interested in engineering and hopes to expand on her knowledge of innovation and development and to learn new software skills. Being a part of the Robotics Team has taught her about cooperation, coordination, and creating a positive environment. She hopes to inspire others and help them when they are in need.
4227 Programming Lead
Jacob Steinebronn is a sophomore. He joined robotics club because he has a passion for technology and he wanted to know more about the design process and building process of robots. He has learned so far that there are a lot of different applications and software that can be used to program robots, both hardware and software to solve a problem. His favorite software that he has used so far is Java because of its complexity. His hobbies are playing games, and coding.
4717 Programming Lead
Ryan Nelson is a sophmore who joined the HHS robotics club because he loves technology and has been in FIRST robotics clubs for the past 5 years. While in robotics, Ryan learned how to build and program NXT and EV3 robots. Ryan’s favorite thing to do is to code things, from Minecraft mods to Arduino kits to Autodesk products. His main hobby, other than programming things, is reading.
4227 Outreach Leader
Karen Zhang is a senior at Hagerty High School. She joined robotics because she enjoys STEM-related subjects and wanted to meet like-minded people. Since joining, she has learned valuable programming skills as well as improved her communication skills through organizing outreach events. She is a part of the HHS Varsity Tennis, Mu Alpha Theta, and SECME teams. She also co-founded the HHS Science Olympiad Club. Outside of school, she enjoys playing piano, trying to compose music, and graphic design. She hopes to major in statistics or premed in college.
4717 Outreach Leader
Amy Robinson is a senior at HHS. She joined robotics because she would like to major in the engineering field. She hopes joining robotics will allow her to get a feel of the engineering life. This is her fourth year in robotics. She learned how a robot is put together, programming, and teamwork. She’s part of the HHS Varsity Tennis Team. She does piano and tennis lessons.
4227 Notebook Leader
Aashni Patel is a freshman at Hagerty High school. She joined the team this year. She joined because she wanted to learn how to program and build robots. She hopes to attend MIT or Georgia Tech and become a physicist in the future. She is on the notebook committee for her team, and is learning to use LaTeX to help create the notebook for her team.
4717 Notebook Leader
Madison is a senior at Hagerty High School and this is her third year in robotics. She joined robotics because she saw her brother compete in a competition and she thought it looked like a lot of fun. She also thought joining robotics would give her a good chance to have a friendly competition against her brother. Once she joined she realized that robotics offers her a lot more than just a friendly competition. Robotics has helped shape her into a better person. Through robotics she gained valuable experiences and skills such as public speaking, building, organization, programming, and team strategy.
